Annika Johansson appointed Professor for Mesoscopic Quantum Dynamics

Former IMPRS doctoral researcher and Minerva Fast-Track Group Leader at MPI Halle appointed full professor at MLU.

Annika Johansson has been appointed to a Professorship for Mesoscopic Quantum Dynamics at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), effective February 2026.

Annika completed her PhD within our IMPRS program in 2019. In 2021, she was selected for the prestigious Minerva Fast-Track Programme of the Max Planck Society which enabled her to establish her own independent research group at the MPI Halle. She has also been Principal Investigator in our IMPRS since 2023 and we are now very proud to see Annika take over this new role.
